Born Nora Lum to Chinese and Korean immigrant parents in Forest Hills Queens her first experience with music came in the form of the trumpet. Apart from classical music and jazz, Nora Lum started studying hip-hop when she was in her teens. While in college, she took classes in the field of women's studies and journalism. The album also featured hit songs that went viral, such as the body-positive Queef as well as the cheeky hometown tour NYC Bitche$1. The single that debuted was specifically linked to Awkwafinas NYC, her travel guide for 2015. The singer decided to make acting careers after completing her first two endeavors, author and musician.
