Linda Edna Cardellini's parents include businessman Wayne David Cardellini and Lorraine (Hernan). She was born in Redwood City in California. She is of Italian, German (from the paternal grandmother), Irish and Scottish descent. Linda was born in the San Francisco Bay region, California as the youngest from four children. At the age of 10 she became fascinated by acting, when she performed in school plays. Her school involvement continued with productions and community theater. Linda was a student at Saint Francis High School Mountain View California. After she graduated she had to make a decision between moving into New York or Los Angeles to study theatre. She decided to go to LA. Linda's first part was in the 1996 series Bone Chillers. Freaks and Geeks was the role that gave her a breakthrough. The acclaimed show was a decathlete Lindsay Weir. The show received an Emmy Award under the category of Outstanding Casting Comedy Series.

Lily James (born Lily Chloe Ninette Thomson on April 5, 1989) is an English actor from England. She began her acting career in the show Just William in 2010, a British television show. Her breakout moment came in the year 2015 when she was cast in the lead role in Cinderella which was a film about fantasy. The actress previously appeared as the role of Lady Rose MacClare as part of the period show Downton Abbey. James went onto portray the Countess Natasha Rostova, in the TV version of War & Peace, in 2016 and starred several films. This includes the action movie Baby Driver (2017) and the period dramas Darkest Hour (2017) and The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (2018 and 2021) and musicals Mamma Mia! There We Go Again (2018) and Yesterday (2019). Pam & Tommy, a biographical television series based on the life of Pamela Anderson (released in 2022), earned her nominations as a Golden Globe Award winner and the Primetime Emmy Award.
